Every year, reserves in the blood banks tend to run low during the month of Ramadhan. However, the festive period that follows after may necessitate a greater supply of blood, so donors are encouraged to continue donating blood even during the fasting month. Dr Nor Azhani Binti Azmi, Transfusion Medicine Specialist, National Blood Centre, joins us to dispel myths and misconceptions about donating blood during Ramadhan, and to encourage more people to donate blood.
