The whole world has been watching the rescue of the 12 Thai boys and their coach, who had been trapped in the Tham Luang cave network in northern Thailand. At the heart of the rescue operation: the medics who ensured that the survivors were in stable condition every step of the way until they reached the hospital. We speak to consultant emergency physician Datuk Dr Alzamani Mohammad Idrose, who has been on several international rescue missions, on the complexities of retrieval medicine, as well as the safety issues of the recent PD International Challenge triathlon.
