More than six years after his wife died while giving birth to their son, a Singaporean man obtained new medical records that suggested her death could have been due to negligent medical treatment. He launched a legal suit to seek dependency claims for his wife's obstetrician.
Sharon Palani had previously discussed a similar case with Dr George Lee in 2015 about a boy who was left permanently disabled during birth. If you are interested in more medico legal cases, such as whether you're permitted to conceive your dead daughter's baby or if you have the right to die, look up the medico legal tag under bfm.my/healthandliving.
