Cervical cancer is the 2nd most frequent cancer among women aged 15-44. This tells us that the disease hits women when they are young and in the most vibrant years of their lives. Yet, it is also one of the most easily preventable cancers, because we know how to target HPV infection - the main cause of the cancer - and we have the tools to do it. In conjunction with Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January, we catch up with Dr Noor Azmi Bin Mat Adenan, Consultant Gynaecologist-Oncologist, Subang Jaya Medical Centre, to discuss how we can stay on track to prevent and eliminate cervical cancer.
