For the longest time, children with cerebral palsy were referred to as “spastic”. While this term has medical origins, it has also taken on a derogatory meaning. As a result, cerebral palsy is still misunderstood by many. Dr Chern Phei Ming, a rehabilitation physician from the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, explains more about the condition, while Sarini Bujang shares her experiences and challenges in bringing up a child with CP.
