An abnormal heart rhythm means your heart is beating too fast, too slow, or with an irregular pattern. The most common abnormal rhythm is atrial fibrillation (AF), which increases the patient's risk of stroke. Dr Surinder Kaur Khelae of Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) describes the methods for safeguarding patients from complications caused by AF.
