On February 13 last year, Pastor Raymond Koh was taken by a group of men in Petaling Jaya. CCTV footage of the incident showed an operation involving at least 15 men and three black SUVs that took just 40 seconds. Last October, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) began its public inquiry into the abduction of Koh, Amri Che Mat, as well as Joshua and Ruth Hilmi.
The inquiry into Pastor Koh was stopped two weeks ago because the police had new leads on the case. Lawyer Dato Dr Gurdial Singh Nijar, who represented Koh’s family at the inquiry, discuss the reason why Pastor Koh’s inquiry was stopped, revelations from the inquiry thus far and the seemingly contradictory theories that the police is pursuing in this case.
