For the longest time, the general perception is that Peninsular Malaysia is free from earthquakes because we are far from the Pacific Ring of Fire. But the recent earthquake in Sabah had some experts reevaluating this claim. Dr. Afroz Ahmad Shah is an assistant professor of structural geology at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, and he helps us clarify whether Klang Valley would be hit by an earthquake in the near future.
Dr. Afroz Ahmad Shah was a speaker at the 2015 TEDxKL.
