In her multiple award-winning theatrical show “Eggsistentialism”, Irish performer Joanne Ryan explores what it is like to be a woman in the 21st century trying to decide whether to have a child. The personal becomes political in a show that is undeniably humourous, but also asks important questions about the way we think and talk about women’s bodies and reproduction. Joanne joins us to talk about why she developed the show, and how it fits into the larger conversation on the pressures of procreating.
