The Future of Chinese Studies

Universiti Malaya is expected to merge its 12 faculties, two academies and three centres into six faculties in order to cut operating expenditure effective September this year. We ask Dr. Ching Thing Ho, a senior lecturer within the Department of Chinese Studies what are the implications of this merger going forward.
