Malaysia ranked 52nd overall out of the 65 OECD participating countries in the recently released 2012 PISA rankings, registering improvements in Maths but declines in both science and reading. We speak to Director of Education Planning & Research Dr. Faridah Abu Hassan about what went wrong, implementation of the National Education Blueprint, and lifting Malaysia out of the bottom third for 2015 rankings.
