It's International Day of Older Persons today, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of the observance. As the world reckons with the disproportionate and severe impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has wrought on older persons, the theme for this year, perhaps unsurprisingly, is “Pandemics: Do They Change How We Address Age and Ageing?” We'll look at the adverse effects of paying too little attention to ensuring healthy ageing.
