Why It’s Important to Lower the Voting Age From 21 to 18

Recently, the Yang Dipertua Dewan Negara (President of the Senate), Tan Sri’ Dato’ Dr Rais Yatim claimed that the Pakatan Harapan government may have been hasty in gazetting the motion to lower the voting age from 21 to 18, and that politics is no place for school-going children. We discuss the contents of his statement, as well as the importance of lowering the voting age.
