Boosting Digital Equity in South-East Asia: Key Strategies

Today on Enterprise Biz Bytes, we explore the transformative power of connectivity in Southeast Asia and how this causes a digital divide in the region.

Over the years, connectivity has advanced tremendously but there are still parts of the region that have not benefited from it due to limited access and lack of digital inclusivity.

To understand this, EdgePoint, an ASEAN-based independent telecommunications infrastructure company, recently released a digital equity whitepaper titled "An Infrastructure-Based Approach to Advance Digital Equity in South-East Asia".

The whitepaper identifies connectivity challenges from an infrastructure provider’s perspective in three key economies, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. It also provides information on policy changes to address gaps within these economies. ,

We will also be looking at the current state of connectivity in ASEAN and how we can bridge the gap with other countries in driving digital inclusivity and connectivity.
