Another natural disaster, another Facebook apology. Last year in October, Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg apologised for using “Spaces”, a virtual reality product, to show the devastation in Puerto Rico. Recently after the devastating earthquake in Lombok, Indonesia, Facebook issued another apology due to a translation mix-up that showed users animated balloons and confetti automatically appearing in their feed in response to the earthquake.
