When we spoke to Singapore-based Split last year, they were making waves in the travel scene by allowing postpaid payments without a credit card. With the pandemic delivering a crushing blow to the travel sector and all its players, Split had to take its business elsewhere - mainly, the retail scene. In this catch-up chat with Split founder Dylan Tan, we talk about entering the Malaysian retail space, pivoting during the pandemic, and if this was a really a blessing in disguise.
