4. A failed assassination attempt of US presidential candidate Donald Trump has become a defining moment on the election trail, ahead of the country’s November polls. Many are now wondering whether the attempted assassination will secure Trump. We speak to Professor Peter Beattie, a political economist and political psychologist from the Chinese University of Hong Kong on whether the incident will fuel further support for Trump among his voter base.
3. Two recent cases of children getting poisoned in Kulim and Kemaman have highlighted a worrying uptick of such cases in Malaysia, where children aged under four years make up the majority of cases. We discuss ways to curb this trend with Dato Dr Amar Singh HSS, Consultant Paediatrician.

The final leg of the "Teoh Beng Hock Walk For Justice" met with a brief altercation this morning, as police intercepted activists by forming a human barrier about a 100 meters from the gates of Parliament (the police later relented after discussions with members of government.) We reached out to Beng Hock's sister Teoh Lee Lan, who led the rally, for comment and Bersih chairperson Faizal Abdul Aziz, who was part of the walk.
