The French Senate has just unanimously passed a law to ban supermarkets from throwing away or destroying unsold food, making it the first country in the world to adopt food waste legislation of this kind. Would Malaysia benefit from similar legislation to reduce food waste? What other voluntary solutions might there be? BFM explores.
