One of the key revelations from the recent release of 9 audio recordings by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, was that senior officials in the Attorney-General's Chambers appeared to be complicit in covering up corruption allegations against ex-Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. This has since raised questions about the power of the PM to appoint people to these key independent posts.
