Sugar Tax Alone Won't End Diabetes Epidemic

Nearly 3.6 million Malaysians are battling diabetes, making the country the highest in Southeast Asia with this condition. In response, the government is introducing a sugar-sweetened beverage tax in Budget 2025 and will implement a grading system for sugary drinks to promote healthier choices. Dr. Khor Swee Kheng, CEO of Angsana Health shares his insights on how these measures could impact public health.
