Malaysia's underemployment issues continue with the Department of Statistics Malaysia recently reporting that in the third quarter of this year, around 2 million tertiary-educated Malaysians, were employed in low-skilled jobs, for which they were overqualified. Wan Amirah Wan Usamah, a research associate at Khazanah Research Institute shares some thoughts on why underemployment remains a problem and what can be implemented to tackle these challenges.
