Kam Raslan is joined by two regular cultural commentators this week; Vernon Adrian Emuang and BFM’s Julian Yap make up the trio in discussing art censorship, the Oscars and a little bit of Australian history. With the recent hype of the foreign language film’s Parasite triumphant win at the Oscars, Julian kicked off the show with a question, “movie awards, are they worth anything?”. Then, Vernon explores into the topic of indigeneity after his three months travel to Australia. He compared the vast difference of acknowledging the indigenous people in Australia and Malaysia. Kam wrapped up the show with the Balai Seni Negara fiasco where four of Ahmad Fuad Osman’s artworks were taken down. The trio further discussed on censorship in Malaysia.
