Tonight we had a woman whose without a doubt a real veteran in the Malaysian theatre world. Her name is Shanthini Venugopal and we catch up with her on her shows!
Over the years Shanthini has freelanced with almost every aspect in the theatre industry. One hand she’ll be a producer, stage manager and on the other, its prop manager and being the front of house for various (local and international) theatre companies since 1981. Shanthini’s name can be found as one of the pioneer members of The Instant Cafe Theatre since 1989 and even today, you’ll find her performing for some of their shows.
The year 2000, Shanthini started her own theatre company called The Jumping Jellybeans (JJB). The company focuses on creating productions which specializes for children.
